A flaky moist fish with a high oil content and a rich smokey flavour. A delicious fish to use in pies, fish cakes, pate or simply in a sandwich.
The fish is vacuumed packed and has a 30 day shelf life.
Kahawai are found around the coast and often close to shore. The average length is approx 40 – 55cm. They are available year round but often targeted in winter. They are a sustainable fish that is managed under the Quota management system.
